Engine starts hard or doesn't start

Fuel tank is empty - Fill it up.

Air in fuel tank - Bleed fuel tank.
Damaged spark plug wiring connection - Inspect the spark plug wire connection, replace or repair.
Spark plug is faulty - Change spark plug as required.
Plugged fuel filter - Install new filter.
Safety contact for brake pedal defective - Install new part.
Incorrect carburetor adjustment - Adjust carburetor idle mixture screw.
Poor compression - Inspect and replace wear parts.
Damaged or not adjusted choke cable - Adjust properly or change the cable.

Irregular engine running

Air intake screen is blocked - Need to wash or clean.
Defective ignition system - Check ignition system and replace faulty parts.
Choke cable is faulty or stuck - Clean or change the cable.
Air filter element is plugged - Change or service air filter.
Fuel pump is dirty or defective - Test fuel pump and change if necessary.

Engine starts and stops immediately

Damaged spark plug - Replace spark plug.
Faulty or dirty carburetor - Service or change carburetor.
Ignition coil is faulty - Replace ignition coil as necessary.
Loose or worn valve springs - New valve springs need to be installed.
Valves are stuck - Clean the valves.

Engine keeps overheating

Cooling fins are blocked - Clean and wash as required.
Too lean carburetor mixture - Make the correct settings.
Improper ignition timing - Ignition timing needs to be set properly.

Engine knocking sound or abnormal noise

Stale gasoline - Use proper gasoline.
Engine overload - Reduce engine load.
