Gas tank is empty - Add fuel.

Fuel filter is dirty - Fuel filter needs to be replaced.
Carburetor is dirty - Wash, clean and adjust.
Fuel lines are clogged - Fuel lines must be clean.
Fuel tank air vent clogged or closed - Open or clean air vent.
Faulty fuel pump - Change or rebuild fuel pump.
Throttle cable is damaged or adjusted incorrectly - Change cable or adjust properly.
Excessive valve clearance - Check and adjust.
Valve timing is improper - Adjust valve timing correctly.
