Craftsman LTX1000 Specifications
The Craftsman LTX1000 is a 2WD lawn tractor from LTX Series. This model was manufactured by AYP from 2001 to 2002. The machine is powered by one of two engines: Kohler Command CV492 4-cycle single cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 18 hp (13.4 kW), or Briggs and Stratton 407777 4-cycle V-twin cylinder OHV vertical shaft air-cooled gasoline engine with a rated power of 21 hp (15.7 kW).
The Craftsman LTX1000 tractor is fitted with several types of transmission: Hydro-Gear hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears, or Peerless gear transmission with 6 forward and 1 reverse gears. The Craftsman LTX1000 tractor is equipped with a manual steering system, electric PTO clutch, disc brakes, 15x6.00-6 front tires, and 20x10.00-8 rear tires. The tractor is compatible with a 42" mid-mount mower deck with cutting height of 1.5-4.0" (37-100 mm) and mechanical lift system.
