The Massey Ferguson 1740M is a four-wheel drive compact utility tractor from 1700M Series. This model was manufactured from 2018 to 2025. The components of Massey Ferguson 1740M powerline system: a 101.4 cubic inches (1.7 L) Shibaura N3LDI-T 4-cycle vertical 6-cylinder direct injection turbocharged liquid-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of 40 hp (29.8 kW), and three-range hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears.
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with rated fluid flow of 12.1 gal/min (45.6 l/min). The MF 1740M tractor is equipped with a power steering system, internal wet disc brakes, 8.00x16 (Farm) or 25x8.50-14 (Industrial) front tyres, and 12.4x24 (Farm) or 15x19.5 (Industrial) rear tyres. The tractor is compatible with the following attachments: 72" mid-mount 3-blade mower deck, Massey Ferguson DL125 front-end loader, and Massey Ferguson CB75 backhoe.
