Case IH D40 Specifications
The Case IH D40 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from DX-series. This model was manufactured from 2001 to 2006. The Case IH D40 driveline consists of 121.7 cu.in (2L) Shibaura N844 4-cycle vertical 4-cylinder indirect injection naturally aspirated liquid-cooled diesel engine with a rated power of 40 Hp (29.8 kW) and synchronized shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears.
The open center hydraulic system includes a gear pump with rated fluid flow of 9.8 gal/min (37.1 l/min). The tractor is equipped with a hydrostatic power steering system, independent PTO type, mechanical wet disc brakes, 5.50x16 (2WD) or 7.00x16 (4WD) front tires, and 13.6x24 (2WD) or 14.9x24 (4WD) rear tires. Compatible attachments for Case IH D40: Case IH L160 front-end loader, Case IH LX116 front-end loader, Case IH 757C backhoe, and 84" front-mount blade.
